After a long career in higher education, Irene left her post as deputy principal to focus on her health and her first love, writing. Her efforts to get her own health sorted, led her on a new career path in which she focusses on health issues and the challenges one faces with regards to a holistic health approach. Her interest in this field has led to her conducting in-depth research in various health areas, broadening her understanding and knowledge in this regard. It has also led her to explore such diverse areas as energy healing, where she has qualified in four disciplines, and the use of natural herbs and remedies in lieu of conventional medicine. Using science-backed evidence, Irene centers her approach to holistic wellness on such aspects as lifestyle changes, diet, toxicity, inflammation, immune function, and the detoxification circuit. Considering herself a perpetual student, Irene continues her research, constantly looking for alternative means of addressing 21st-century symptoms with the main focus on applying natural remedies and resources. According to Irene, what you put into the machine, i.e. your body, is the deciding factor for enhanced performance and inner drive.
